Large Fiberglass Tanks

Fiberglass tanks are the ideal storage solution for outdoor rainwater harvesting, water storage, fire protection, oil field storage, liquid fertilizer, water treatment, irrigation water storage, and more. Our line of fiberglass tanks ranges in storage capacity from 1,000 gallons to 1,000,000 gallons. Our large fiberglass tanks are cost-effective, customizable to your project, and most importantly they are durable and economical.

Safe and reliable storage of potable and non-potable water

From rainwater harvesting, fire suppression, wastewater, water storage, agriculture, food processing, chemical, oil, and gas, fiberglass tanks are ideal for storing a variety of applications. Leak-free performance is critical for these applications, and fiberglass tanks have a long history of providing watertight design solutions. Due to the lightweight nature of fiberglass, installation steps and costs are minimized, which is important for hard-to-reach sites. Many fiberglass tanks are also designed for dual-purpose use, with a common example being standby fire protection and potable water.

Benefits of Fiberglass

Proven durability and reliability for storing and transporting liquids
Maintenance-free surface
Vail lining prevents leaks, core suction, and corrosion control
Designed for dual use
UV stabilized resin extends the life of the tank
Available in underground and above-ground options
Height can be customized and coated to your specifications
Reliable, durable, and cost-effective

Laminate and water standards

All fiberglass tanks are highly customizable to suit a variety of industries, and for water storage, our partners use contact-formed laminates per ASTM 4097 and fiber-wound laminates per ASTM D3299 to manufacture fiberglass tanks with universally accepted standards.

All tanks are manufactured to AWWA/NSF 61 standards and all potable water tanks are made with high-quality resins, and Nexus liners, and are NSF 61 certified. FDA and fire-resistant resins are also available for special applications.

Water Storage Fiberglass Tanks

We offer a complete line of fiberglass underground and above-ground water storage tanks for rainwater harvesting, stormwater runoff, and potable and non-potable water storage systems. Potable water tanks are manufactured to ASTM D3299 and AWWA standards, using NSF-approved resins and UV inhibitors to ensure durability, and above-ground tanks are coated to your specifications.

Rainwater Collection Fiberglass Tanks

Whether you collect rainwater for immediate use or store it for later use, the water collected has many uses, including indoor, outdoor, and storage for emergencies. Underground and above-ground rainwater tanks are available and can be customized to meet your rainwater harvesting needs. These high-quality tanks are manufactured to ASTM 4097, ASTM D3299, and AWWA standards and are maintenance and corrosion free.

Fire Suppression Fiberglass Tanks

As concerns about water shortages continue to grow in many areas of the United States, municipalities and facility owners continue to look for ways to better manage their water resources. The versatility of fiberglass tanks makes them ideal for commercial fire protection applications, as they can be designed for dual use, a common example being fire protection standby and potable water.

Underground Wastewater Fiberglass Tanks

When it comes to wastewater storage, leak-free performance is critical. Constructed using only high-quality corrosion-resistant resins, fiberglass wastewater storage tanks will not degrade through infiltration and seepage and will not react with sewer gases. With high tensile strength and flexibility as well as many customizable options and simple transportation and installation, fiberglass tanks are an easy choice for wastewater storage.

Agricultural Fiberglass Tanks

As climate change begins to have a greater impact on our daily lives, by using irrigation tanks to conserve water in drought-prone areas, you can store much-needed water at a time when Mother Nature can't provide it. By storing rainwater, you may be able to save your crops or valuable livestock. Oiled steel silos are being replaced by new fiberglass tanks that are stronger for their weight and better suited to the more environmentally demanding rural flatlands.

Food Processing Fiberglass Tanks

Fiberglass tanks are built to ASTM D3299 standards and are designed to be the preferred application material for high-performance brine processors. Fiberglass brines are still the most commonly used construction material. We can use FDA food grade and NSF 61 approved resins and materials for any tank diameter and capacity.

Horizontal Fiberglass Tanks

Horizontal tank ends are designed with domes or disks to provide better weight distribution and increased strength. Horizontal fiberglass tanks can be mounted on carbon steel, concrete, or polyurethane foam-filled supports, which are considered standard for fiberglass tanks. They are glassed to the tank.

Vertical Flat Bottom Fiberglass Tanks

Fiberglass tanks have a long history of use in applications where watertight design integrity is critical. Vertical flat bottom and vertical leg fiberglass tanks can be open topped or closed with a domed, disc, or conical top. Vertical leg fiberglass tanks can also be equipped with a domed bottom with a 30" gap as well as a tapered bottom. Smaller tanks are constructed with angle iron legs, while larger tanks have L-beam legs.

Multi-Piece Fiberglass Tanks

For industrial and commercial needs, fiberglass sectional tanks can be erected on site. Segmented tanks are fabricated at the factory and transported to the job site. All accessories are installed on-site by experienced field personnel who have over ten years of experience in installing segmented fiberglass tanks.

Not all fiberglass is born equal
Failures and problems can occur when fiberglass tanks are not built to meet service conditions or quality procedures are not followed.
End users are often unaware of the right questions to ask to ensure they have specified a fiberglass tank correctly.
This is important since there are many different grades of resin and glass. Ensuring that quality procedures and specifications are followed will provide a durable tank.

Polyester Resin Classes and Properties

Orthophthalic Resin: General Purpose
Often referred to as general purpose resins, they provide basic sealing properties but do not provide long-term corrosion and weather resistance. Most fiberglass tank manufacturers use Orthophthalic Resin for their standard tanks.

Isophthalic Resin Enhanced chemical resistance, tensile strength, durability, and fatigue resistance
Used when a higher degree of corrosion resistance is required, Isophthalic Resin offers enhanced chemical resistance, tensile strength, durability, and fatigue resistance. With all of Yongchang Tank and Pipe's enhanced properties, the use of Isophthalic Resin in its standard engineered tank designs provides customers with durable, long-lasting, maintenance-free tanks.

Vinyl Ester Resin Systems: Highest quality chemical and heat resistance, so they are typically used in industrial applications
Vinyl Ester Resin Systems provide the highest quality chemical resistance. vinyl Ester Resin Systems eliminate virtually all moisture transfer and provide an excellent barrier for sealing corrosive fluids. vinyl Ester Resin Systems also provide excellent heat and corrosion resistance. vinyl Ester Resin Systems have hydrolytic stability for improved chemical resistance, tensile strength, elongation, durability, fatigue resistance, and adhesion properties.
